In “Jamestown Tobacco Boy Dream of Freedom”, main character Daniel, a twelve-year-old slave boy travels to a strange African land when he drinks tea made from the mysterious seeds given to him by his elderly friend Sabra. Sabra who had been kidnapped from his home in Angola and brought to Colonial Virginia in 1619 also makes a mysterious appearance in Daniel’s dream. This fantasy/adventure story is set on a tobacco plantation outside of Colonial Jamestown, Virginia in the late 1670s.
